Danielle and Jonathan’s engagement session at the Nacional Harbor was a special one! This place holds a truly special spot in these two’s hearts because this is where Jonathan proposed to Danielle months ago! Xiao and I met them a little after sunrise on a Sunday morning, barely anyone was at the National Harbor, and can we just tell you that as DC wedding and portrait photographers we LOVED seeing that!
A week prior to their national harbor engagement session, Danielle and Jonathan were worried about the weather due to rain forecasts. We have helped them to select backup locations to shoot at the National Harbor in case of rain to ease their worries. However, everything worked out on its own on the day of the shoot. The weather turned out to be beautiful and the sun even came out for their session. Oh how we love a happy ending!
We started our session by the Capitol Wheel and ventured into the harbor a bit for different backdrops. Danielle and Jonathan were such a sweet couple, and they were great posers (you’ll see for yourself in these images). Wedding portraits on their wedding day will be so easy after this engagement session. While walking to other parts of the harbor, we chatted about their upcoming summer wedding details. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding in July!
