Let’s face it! Picking out outfits for a photoshoot can be very stressful. But no worries, we’ve got you covered! With a little guidance, picking out that perfect outfit for you and your family is just that much easier . Here are our top 10 style tips to help you and your family look amazing in your next photoshoot!
Tip #1: Know your body type. If you are short like us, we recommend that you wear high waist items to flatter your body. If you are tall, wear medium high heels for a more feminine look. If you are skinny, choose more feminine cut to mark your waist. If you are voluptuous, Don’t wear oversize clothes. Instead, wear loud color dresses with cleavage.
Tip #2: Do match your style. If he is wearing a suit, try to match him with an elegant dress. For a more casual look such as jeans and a nice shirt, bring alone a cute skirt or a playful dress to match him.
Tip #3: Don’t match colors but coordinate. Matching colors can be cool but totally matching can become boring. Try to match that look good together and sticking to neutral/pastels colors. Try to avoid bright and fluorescent colors! You can always use color wheels to coordinate colors.
Tip #4: Do wear flowy dresses! They look great in wind and can create movement and energy in photos. This is totally a personal favorite of ours.
Tip #5: Do wear prints. If you love prints, wear a small and subtle pattern and always try to commit to just one! Too many patterns will make the photo looks way too busy. For example, if you are wear a patterned dress, your man should wear a solid color to complement you.
Tip #6: Do wear neutral and pastel colors. You can never go wrong with these colors. They will always look great in photos.
Tip #7: Sometimes bold colors are nice! Do choose pastel colors for the dress itself and bold colors for the flowers on the dress (and vice versa).
Tip #8: Don’t wear stripes! Stripes look nice but not ideal in pictures. It gives an unpleasant Moiré effect.
Tip #9: Do try on our outfit before the photoshoot to make sure everything fits just the way you like.
Tip #10: Do dress for seasons/weathers. Last but not least, don’t forget to pick out a nice pair of shoes to go with your outfit!
