The Scanlon Family | A Chatham Manor Family Portrait in Stafford County Virginia

Xiao and I met the Scanlon family downtown Fredericksburg for their family portrait on a Sunday afternoon. Days leading up to the session, the weather had been so cold and rainy here in Northern Virginia. To be honest, we were worried a little. However, the weather turned out beautifully on the day of their session. It was in the low 60s!

The Scanlon family was such naturals in front of the camera and their outfits was right on point! Color black and beige really complements the fall colors perfectly. During the session, we found out that Lindsay HAND SEWED Mckenzie’s black scarf the night before this session and we were so impressed by that. That’s LOVE right there, a mother’s unconditional love for her child!

We had so much fun getting to know this family. Mckenzie is the cutest and sweetest little girl who loves nature. She had so much fun playing with fall leaves. Even as an adult, I still enjoy playing with fall leaves! And yes, I did just that with sweet Mckenzie, and I had a blast! Mckenzie, thank you for bringing out the inner child in me!

Please enjoy these images of the Scanlon family!
